Algoriom was founded in 2018 as a data science company, but its founders have worked together for more than two decades. They combined their global experiences with Fortune 500 companies and their deep knowledge of Ai and Deep Learning concepts into this ambitious venture. We are driven by the aim of applying Data Science at the forefront of business, leveraging the untapped potential of the ever increasing amount of data our clients are sitting on to their best advantage. Our team of diverse polymaths has proven their skill set many times over and are experienced in various vertical applications of machine learning and data science concepts across myriad sectors and industries ranging from healthcare to retail. Along the way, we made contacts and developed relationships with like-minded businesses with shared philosophies and culture. Our clients and partners are along on this journey of discovering the amazing ways in which our skills and experience can work in symbiosis to bring quality, efficiency, and progress to our clients.

John Tukey

Merging of statistics and computers, at a time when statistical results were presented in hours, rather than the days or weeks it would take if done by hand.

1977

IASC Founded

The International Association for Statistical Computing was founded during the 41st Session of the ISI in 1977, as a Section of the ISI.

2002

Data Science Journal

The ICS Committee on Data for Science & Technology begins publishing the Data Science Journal, focusing on issues such as the description of data systems, their publication on the internet, applications and legal issues.

2009

Data Scientists & NoSQL

“Data Scientist” became a buzzword & NoSQL is reintroduced to create open source, non-relational databases.

2015

Peak AI Adoption

Bloomberg’s Jack Clark, wrote that it had been a landmark year for Artificial Intelligence (AI) with a total of software projects using AI increased from “sporadic usage” to more than 2,700 projects over the year just within Google.

Wrote the Concise Survey of Computer Methods, which stated, “The science of dealing with data, once they have been established, while the relation of the data to what they represent is delegated to other fields and sciences.”

The Birth of SaaS

Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), the pre-cursor to Cloud-based applications, is created.

2001

The Birth of Hadoop

Hadoop 0.1.0, an open-source, non-relational database, is developed based on Nutch, another open-source database.

2006

Job Listings Boost

Requirements for Data Scientists goes up by 15,000%, proving data science to be a source of profits and had become a part of corporate culture.

2011

Google Voice

Google’s speech recognition, Google Voice, experienced a dramatic performance jump of 49% using Deep Learning techniques.

2015
